Somewhere is a track that takes the classic lead line from Westside story (beautifully covered by Tom Waits on 1978’s Blue Valentine) and proceeds to completely remove any romance and life out of it by looping it and turning into an Acid bass nightmare. The delivery I give on the core vocal is harsh, and lonely. The leading thought here is around the rage I feel around the needless and cruel containment of refugees in Australia. It’s the only emotion I feel when I think of those waiting for their place. Which should be here, with us.

Encounter is an imagined soundtrack to an alien chase scene in an unmade movie. Are we chasing the aliens?? I guess so. One of those groves that you can watch the lines on the tarmac speed by from your car window to.
